In the past, infinity walls have been created primarily by using horizontal rolled paper as a backdrop that removes the square corner where the wall meets the floor. Universal Foam Products has also provided large quarter round pieces of expanded polystyrene (EPS) to photographers where they wanted a more permanent solution. We can now provide the next step, which is quarter round EPS forms that can be used to round out the corner of a room including the vertical intersection of two walls and the juncture of the wall and floor running in both directions from the corner. The photos show the process of putting the corner together and applying drywall compound.
A completely rounded corner will require multiple layers of spackle to build up the corner. The straight sections should only require open or two coats and light sanding prior to paint.
