Four Foam blocks of nominal 2 lb density virgin EPS 8” x 48” x 72” were used to create an outer shell for this CT Scan in South Florida. The foam was carved using a hot wire and hot knives as well as grinders and sanders. The final shape was primed, hard coated, painted and finishes. It is amazing how the sculpture and murals on the walls changes the otherwise sterile and scary environment to a much more inviting and child friendly one.
