When Lands’ End needed a model for their 2012 children’s catalog they contacted Sturm’s Special Effects. Sturm’s sculptor Kelly “The Kid” started out with a concept sketch from their Art Director, then carved a full size model of a walrus out of expanded polystyrene (EPS), purchased form Universal Foam Products. The finished model was dressed, photographed and Photoshopped for the cover of a very successful catalog.
