Easy to use options for customized bar tops

Designers are looking for easy-to-use options for customized bar tops so the bar top can complement the rest of the bar. In a new casual dining restaurant in New Jersey, a custom-made EPS order fitted the bill perfectly along with excellent customer service ensuring tight deadlines were met.
In Wildwood, N.J. the designers of a new bar/restaurant were looking to create a Southern California feel, complete with a ‘surfboard’ bar top. The California surfer deck look was to complement the rest of the bar and restaurant. As well as the California style food, the restaurant bar was to serve cocktails with the opportunity to listen to live music.
With opening night approaching, deadlines were, as often is the case, under pressure. To achieve everything in time it was necessary to expedite the delivery of a custom sized 3lbs density EPS block from the customer service team at Universal Foam Products. The block could be used to complete the original design which included wood stringers and inlays right along the 40’ longboard. Using the EPS (expanded polystyrene) as the new bar top material meant there was time to spare before opening night.
The restaurant is now open and has a restaurant and patio area for diners as well as the bar with its original one-off surf board bar top.
