Just outside Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, a creative customer used 1 lb Virgin Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) from Universal Foam Products to bring a lifelike animatronic T-Rex head to life for a Jurassic Park–themed exhibit at a local church.
Working with 6” thick EPS sheets, the builder sculpted and shaped the Foam using a variety of cutting tools to achieve the intricate details and fierce expression of this realistic—and slightly terrifying—creature. The lightweight yet durable EPS provided the perfect medium for carving, supporting fine details while maintaining structural integrity for movement and display.
