This Madonna was carved from 3 blocks of .9 lb EPS foam 24” x 48” x 96” that were glued together. The photos take you through the steps from the beginning to the finished coated sculpture that looks like it was carved from stone. Artists all over the country are using EPS because it easy to carve, lightweight and economical. The finished sculpture can be finished to look like any material from stone to clay.
