The Sheboygan County Historical Society & Museum used over 800 STYROFOAM™ balls on twinkle lights to create faux gumdrops in the “Christmas” neighborhood as part of a major annual exhibition/event called Holiday Memories. The Museum decorates two historic houses, has several trees decorated by local school groups, has a variety of family oriented activities and then has one large area were we feature a new exhibit each holiday season. That area has animated figures that were at one time part of window displays at the department store H.C. Prange Company, a regional store that was headquartered in downtown Sheboygan.
The overall theme of the year is Gifts of Christmas and the area where the STYROFOAM™ balls were used is “Candyland”. The STYROFOAM™ balls were used on twinkle lights to create faux gumdrops in the “Christmas” neighborhood. (The display also has a Valentine’s, Easter, and Halloween neighborhood…. The big candy holidays!)
