For their 2017 annual company meeting, Shawmut Design and Construction had the theme of “Client Experience” and wanted two 6 foot tall letters, C and X. They had to be big, durable, bright red, delivered in perfect condition, and on schedule. They turned to Universal Foam to see the project through. 1.8 lb density EPS was chosen, and the pieces of the letters were cut and glued together, due to their size. They were coated with a hard shell epoxy, allowed to dry, and then packaged in a protective Foam shell and shipped. Shawmut chose to do the painting themselves, so the red would match their company logo, and the coating made painting by roller quick and easy. The results are worthy of a their own spotlight.
