Recycled Styrofoam can be reuse for so many different eco-friendly products. One of the fun ways is in the building of “green” surfboards. There is a company called Waste to Waves There mission is to convert recycled packaging Styrofoam into surfboard blanks. They started simply by putting recycling bins into stores and then making collections. There are many surfers that have decided to use these blanks in competitions in order to promote more “green” sports. Starting in 2011, Sustainable Surf and the Association of Surfing Professionals have teamed with Waste to Waves to administer “greening guidelines” for contests.
