Insulated foam EPS sheets are used often to insulate foundation and concrete floor slabs on major construction projects. In Colorado, a transportation facility chose EPS expanded rigid insulation as one of the most economical ways to achieve the required R-value for the project. In all, 248 panels of 4” thick EPS insulation foam were delivered and used to insulate the concrete slab.
