The technical theatre coordinator, Kevin Phelan, at Vernon Hills High School contacted Universal Foam looking for some large blocks of Foam to create stage props for a production of Almost, Maine. They decided to go with 4 blocks of the .9lb Virgin EPS that were 36″ X 48″ X 96″. The large blocks of Foam were then cut in half and carved into the shape of snow piles and were placed around the front of the stage. They also carved a log out of one of the blocks. The set was extremely realistic due to the artistic ability of the participants.
