EPS is the preferred door foam insulation material in the construction of steel exterior doors. It is also used to insulate residential garage doors and commercial overhead doors. For overhead doors, the EPS panels are provided kerfed on one side so they will flex enough to insert between the metal channels and are typically finished on the inside with a washable surface such as HIPS (high impact polystyrene).
