This is one of the nicest portable pitcher’s mounds we have seen. Our customer in Peachtree Corners, Georgia purchased both .9 lb and 1.35 lb density expanded polystyrene blocks 10 inch x 30 inch x 60 inch to make portable pitcher’s mounds. He is experimenting with both densities to see which one works best. Using a geofoam hotwire kit and an electric hot knife he shaped the EPS blocks to create the proper slope and dimensions. Next he sprayed the EPS with a durable coating, then covered that with synthetic grass and installed a pitchers rubber. The portable mound is easy to move around and can be used indoors in a gym during the off season.
