I recently quoted a customer on a rather unique project. He is going to make a smaller version of Stonehenge out of EPS and fiberglass. He will shape the EPS himself to look more like the stones in the picture below. The project will be displayed outside.

I had the unique opportunity to quote EPS pieces for a high school parade float. The foam will be used to make a huge tiered cake. EPS will also be used to cover the dow rods that will support the top two tiers. EPS is being considered because it weighs less than wood and will be easier for the high school kids to work with.
Click here to see how EPS was used for another parade float in July 2009.
We recently sold a customer EPS for packaging purposes. They plan to use the pieces to fill a 2-1/4″ void left in the box to prevent the items from moving during shipment.
We also recently quoted a returning customer custom cut EPS pieces to protect glass bottles during shipment. We are providing a custom wire cut center piece to fit the bottles since they aren’t a standard size. Partnered with flat top and bottom pieces the bottles arrive at their destination safe and sound.
I had an opportunity to quote and sell a high school located in the Northeast EPS blocks as props for their marching band. The blocks will be painted and decorated in the school’s colors. They plan to use them as portable platforms during various home games and band competitions over the coming school year. Good luck!
EPS can be used a mold for making various things including concrete tiles. This drawing shows a tile mold with a bullnose edge. This was quoted for a customer in the South who needed custom concrete tiles for residential use.

With Halloween just around the corner, attached is a photo of a project one of our clients carved for an event, it was placed at the entrance. He made this using just 2 large blocks of the Expanded Polystyrene. Amazing isn’t it??!!

I had the pleasure of supplying the EPS to my customer in the Mid-West that built this amazing parade float for the Days of ’47 Parade.
The Days of ’47 Parade is an annual parade presented by The Days of ’47, Inc. The three-hour event is held in Salt Lake City starting at 9:00 a.m. MDT on July 24th, the same day as Pioneer Day, a Utah state holiday.
It was sculpted from scratch over a period of weeks and the end result is always exciting to see. The EPS is easy to work with, especially because I was able to provide it to my customer in different sizes including EPS blocks for the larger sculptures and projects.

I just quoted a customer 12 bottle wine shippers. This is a good time for liquor stores and wineries to start stocking up on 1, 2, 3, 6 & 12 bottle shippers for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
A new exciting project that was recently completed is our 30” Styrofoam Balls for a well known clothing company in New York City. They will be using our Foam for their Madison Avenue window displays.
I hope to have pictures of the completed display posted in the future
We are currently running a quote for a customer in the Mid-West who is making their own theater props. They are looking for a couple of blocks of foam to carve their own statues. A little creativity on their part and they should have a couple of excellent props.
