Clarissa's Closet
I recently had my first experience in building a set from polystyrene foam. I found the UnivFoam company through searching on the web and I called to get some questions answered since I had never used the product before. Eric Ferg was very knowledgeable and helpful. Set building is not my area of expertise and he helped me figure out exactly what I needed to accomplish my vision of our set. Working with the foam was a pleasure. It is lightweight and accepts paint very well. My husband (who helped me construct the set) and I were so pleased with the outcome of our efforts. The set tuned out even better than we had planned. I will definitely use this product again and I will do business with UnivFoam. Everything was delivered on time and in perfect condition. Our experience was very positive both with the company and Eric, in particular. I highly recommend this product!

The film, "Lost on Purpose," was shot in the summer of 2011 in Visalia, CA and stars Jane Kaczmarek, James Lafferty, Aaron Hill and C. Thomas Howell. www.imdb.com/title/tt1942913 www.nathancarden.com
Upgrading to Encapsulated Floatation
These photos show a 19 year old floating dock with un-encapsulated foam and a new floating dock using encapsulated floats. The top deck of the un-encapsulated floats are plywood and 2X6' s, the bottom of the floats are 2X4 redwood , the top and bottom are connected with all thread rod. The customer upgraded because the 19 year old un-encapsulated docks was showing signs of wear.
