There is more to Universal Foam Products than just EPS.
Polyethylene Foam
Polyethylene foam is created by mixing a gas into molten polyethylene, expanding the gas into tiny bubbles, and cooling the expanded polyurethane to create the final foam product. The foam can be shaped into tubes, profiles, sheets and blocks. It can also be die cut into endless shapes for various packaging applications. It is a closed cell material so it does not absorb water. It is available in roll form in thicknesses ranging from 1/48” thick to ½” thick to cover a broad range of packaging applications.
Polyurethane Foam
Polyurethane foam is divided into two families – flexible and rigid. Flexible foams are used in packaging applications and are available in different densities and different compression strengths. The material is first formed in large blocks, cut into sheets, then die cut into shapes for packaging. Intricate shapes can also be custom molded. Polyurethane foam is an excellent shock absorber and is often used when shipping glass and fragile electronic devices.
Memory Foam
Developed by NASA engineers for G-Force pressure relief on the space shuttles, memory foam’s most common application is in mattresses and pillow construction. The foam is heat sensitive and molds itself to your body’s shape. Although, it is the most expensive of the available foam products, there are applications where it is also the preferred foam.
Impression Foam

In the past, impression foam has be used by podiatrists to measure a patients arch support and by police departments to model the impressions of shoes to match to the shoe impressions found at crime scenes. Since the foam is easy to work with and relatively inexpensive, it can also be used to ship small, lightweight items, where the quantities are too small to justify the cost of pre-molded foams.
