We are currently working with several customers who are insulating metal buildings at an economical cost. One customer in the south has an R-value between 35-40 on the roof due to the high temperature at his location. He is already seeing a return on his investment. The EPS Sheets are light weight and easy to install on the ceilings and walls. Call us to see how we can help you save money.
Posts from July 2009.

I just quoted a customer 12 bottle wine shippers. This is a good time for liquor stores and wineries to start stocking up on 1, 2, 3, 6 & 12 bottle shippers for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
A new exciting project that was recently completed is our 30” Styrofoam Balls for a well known clothing company in New York City. They will be using our Foam for their Madison Avenue window displays.
I hope to have pictures of the completed display posted in the future
We are currently running a quote for a customer in the Mid-West who is making their own theater props. They are looking for a couple of blocks of foam to carve their own statues. A little creativity on their part and they should have a couple of excellent props.
We just got a nice project for letters that are 7-foot tall, 9 1/4″ deep that are being used for a concrete block outs. EPS was chosen for the project because of it’s cost savings and lighweight properties. Once the concrete is set the contractor will remove the EPS and fill it in with pavers.
Universal Foam Products can provide large blocks of Geofoam to create stadium seating with EPS in new construction and renovation projects.
Lightweight, pre-tapered, and pre-cut — perfect for level surface applications. We ship from over 100 locations nationwide.
We just got a unique inquiry, someone asked us to make EPS letters the height of a 3 story building. They were really surprised when we asked “What font?” They did not think we could do a job of this size.
Check out some other letters we’ve made from expanded polystyrene in the past:

Sculpture project, made from EPS and painted to look like iron.
We thought it would be a good idea to break out of the normal day to day routine and try something new. “How can we make styrofoam more interesting?” Sitting around the conference table thinking about that question, someone stood up and said, “I’ve got it! A blog!!”
I’ve never seen so many blank stares. “What the heck do we need a blog for, and besides the point, what the heck is a blog!?”
But after a while, it started to make sense. We wanted to be able to share our knowlege and experience with everyone, and the best way to do it is to talk about how we’ve helped our customers. And what better way to spark ideas than to showcase intersting and unique foam projects on our website.
So if you’ve got an idea or a unique styrofoam or expanded polystyrene (EPS) project that you think “could never get done, it’s impossible” — think again. We will be updating this blog with some of our coolest projects, and hopefully we can inspire your next foam project!
